Hear new research, challenge opposing views and vote live as The Great Debate: AI comes to Paris and online on 10th September.
AI is already changing how advertising is created, bought and delivered. But as investment and expectations accelerate, some of the industry’s biggest questions remain unresolved.
On 10th September at 14:00 CET, IAB Europe will bring the industry together for The Great Debate: AI, a free hybrid event taking place live in Paris and online.
Combining new research, opposing perspectives and live audience participation, the event will examine where AI is delivering genuine value across digital advertising, and where expectations may be running ahead of reality.
This is not an event where you simply listen to a series of presentations.
At the heart of the programme will be a series of Oxford-style debates, with speakers arguing for and against some of the most important motions facing the industry.
Both the in-person and online audience will play an active role. You will be invited to vote on each motion, put questions to the speakers and see whether the arguments succeed in changing your position.
Expect strong opinions, contrasting viewpoints and the opportunity to influence the conversation as it unfolds.
The event will open with an exclusive preview of findings from our upcoming annual Impact of AI on Digital Advertising Report.
The research spotlight will explore how businesses across the industry are using AI today, where they are seeing the greatest impact and which barriers continue to hold back further adoption.
Agentic AI promises systems that can make decisions, take action and optimise advertising activity with increasing independence.
But how close is the industry to that reality?
Is agentic advertising set to fundamentally change how campaigns are planned, bought and measured, or has enthusiasm moved ahead of what the technology can currently deliver?
Speakers will argue both sides of the motion, challenge one another’s claims and examine the practical opportunities already available today.
A fireside conversation with an industry leader will step back from individual use cases to consider the bigger picture.
Supported by live audience polling, the discussion will explore where AI could have the greatest influence across digital advertising, how businesses should prepare for the next phase of adoption and what responsible progress should look like for the wider ecosystem.
Generative AI is enabling advertisers to produce, adapt and personalise creative at unprecedented speed and scale.
But as the same tools become available to every brand, could greater efficiency come at the cost of originality and distinction?
Will AI strengthen human creativity and open up new possibilities, or lead to increasingly similar brand communication?
Our speakers will debate what AI-generated creative could mean for brand identity, creative quality and the future role of human judgement.
Attendance is free, with two ways to participate:
