TCF

TCF for Vendors

Vendors are companies that participate in the delivery of digital advertising within a publisher website, app or other digital content site. Vendors are distinct from publishers or CMPs in that they do access a user’s device or browser and process personal data about users visiting digital sites. Under GDPR, Vendors are considered to be a Controller and/or a Processor.

Vendors specifically perform the following:
· Adhere to the TCF v1.1 or TCF v2.0 Policy, or both;
· Provide transparency to the user in terms of how they intend to comply with GDPR requirements;
· Are identified as participants of the TCF v1.1 or TCF v2.0 Policy, or both through their registration on the Global Vendor List (GVL). Publishers then use the GVL to view the Vendors participating in the Framework, hosted here for TCF v1.1 and for TCF v2.1 (available post launch of the v2.0 registration September 10);
· Receive their transparency and consent status from the Consent Manager JavaScript API (CMP.JS API) that is installed by the CMP or the publisher who is acting as a CMP.
