The Retail & Commerce Media Committee is a multi-stakeholder group that aims to increase understanding of the Retail Media and Commerce advertising ecosystem, enable cross-stakeholder initiatives, and develop standards, particularly in the area of metrics and measurement, so that retail advertising in Europe can thrive.
2026 priorities include:
- Industry Education and Definitions - Providing reliable market intelligence to support decision-making, investment, and strategic planning across the Retail Media ecosystem, including our updated Pan-European Retail Media Landscape Overview, and annual Attitudes to Retail Media Report.
- Standardisation & Guidelines - Enabling Retail Media to scale across Europe by developing clear, comparable standards and best-practice guidance, including on- and off-site measurement standards, and practical guidelines to support implementation across markets.
- Industry Education & Definitions - Building a shared understanding of Retail Media through consistent definitions, resources, and practical education, including an updated 101 Guide to Retail Media, content on the non-endemic opportunities, and guidance on the convergence and co-existence of trade and media.
- Thought-Leadership & Networking - Facilitating industry dialogue through flagship events and forums, including the Great Debate: Retail Media and Retail Media Impact Summit, regular retailer council meetings, and community engagement opportunities.
