Build Trusted Member Relationships and Turn Engagement into Insight

Location: Brussels, Belgium (hyrid) or United Kingdon (home-based)
Reports to: Senior Director, Industry Development & Marketing
Contract: Permanent, full-time; a four-day, 0.8 FTE arrangement will also be considered

About IAB Europe

IAB Europe is the European-level association for the digital marketing and advertising ecosystem. We bring together national IAB associations and media, technology and marketing companies to support industry collaboration, policy representation and the development of common standards and programmes.

About the Role

We are looking for a relationship-focused and data-confident Membership Manager to help members make the most of IAB Europe and turn their engagement into useful insight.

As a trusted point of contact, particularly for priority and strategic members, you will understand their businesses, connect them with relevant colleagues and opportunities, and help them demonstrate membership value internally.

Combining member conversations with reliable data and reporting, you will identify what members value, what works and where gaps exist, then use that insight to inform retention, engagement priorities and strategic planning.

What You Will Do

Member relationships and engagement

  • Build trusted relationships and run regular check-ins and tailored engagement plans, with particular attention to priority and strategic members.
  • Help members navigate IAB Europe's work, benefits and opportunities, and provide clear evidence they can use to explain membership value to their internal decision-makers.
  • Coordinate with Policy, Industry, Legal, Marketing and Events colleagues so member needs, opportunities and follow-up actions are understood across the team.

Data, insight and retention

  • Coordinate data collection across the organisation and maintain accurate, complete membership and engagement records in the CRM.
  • Track participation and benefit utilisation, combining data with member feedback to understand needs and identify gaps.
  • Support renewals and retention, flagging disengagement or non-renewal risks early and coordinating follow-up actions. Use what we learn to improve membership processes and inform strategic planning.
  • Produce regular, data-led reports for members and leadership, highlighting engagement trends, benefit utilisation and renewal risks, with clear recommendations for engagement priorities, retention and strategic planning.

Membership information and revenue planning

  • Own the accuracy of billing contacts, fee records and membership or renewal decision-maker details. Proactively find missing contacts and identify replacements when staff or organisational structures change.
  • Coordinate accurate and timely invoicing inputs and renewal information with Finance and the Senior Director.
  • Own the membership input into annual revenue forecasts and budget planning: assess renewal likelihood, document at-risk income and expected fees, and provide realistic assumptions for the following year's budget, working with the Senior Director and Finance.

What You Will Bring

  • Relevant experience in membership management, account management, customer success, client services or stakeholder engagement, with independent responsibility for a portfolio.
  • Strong relationship-management skills and credibility with senior stakeholders, with the judgement to be diplomatic and appropriately assertive when needed.
  • Confidence using CRM systems and engagement data, with the ability to combine quantitative information and member feedback into clear reports and practical recommendations.
  • Good numerical and commercial judgement, attention to detail and confidence assessing renewal risk and contributing to revenue forecasts.
  • Excellent written and spoken English, strong organisation and the ability to coordinate priorities and influence across teams.

Knowledge of the digital advertising, adtech or marketing ecosystem would be a strong advantage, particularly an understanding of its different stakeholders and their priorities. Experience in an association or membership organisation would also be beneficial.

Why Join Us?

You will work with members and colleagues across the European digital advertising ecosystem, with the autonomy to improve how we coordinate engagement, demonstrate membership value and use insight to make better decisions.

Location & Working Arrangements

The role is based in Brussels on a hybrid basis, or home-based within the United Kingdom. Candidates must have the right to work in their proposed country of employment. Occasional travel to Brussels and industry events across Europe may be required.

Remuneration & Benefits

The remuneration and benefits package will reflect the successful candidate's employing location. Further details will be shared during the recruitment process.
