On 20th March, we hosted The Great Debate: Sustainability, bringing together industry leaders to discuss the digital advertising ecosystem’s role in driving environmental and social progress. The session explored key topics, including emissions reduction, ESG commitments, consumer behaviour shifts, and climate disclosures.
The event featured the presentation of our State of Readiness Report & LEAF Platform, providing a crucial benchmark on the industry's sustainability journey. This was followed by an expert panel discussion on Environmental Sustainability: How Will Progress Be Driven to 2030?, featuring insights from Adform, Impact Plus, and Google. The session underscored the need for industry-wide collaboration, technological innovation, and regulatory alignment to meet sustainability goals.
We wrapped up with a fireside chat on How Can Digital Media Drive Social Impact?, led by our new Chair of IAB Europe’s Sustainability Standards Committee - Steffen Hubert and Prof. Dr. Lisa-Charlotte Wolter, who explored how media investments can drive meaningful change.
