Townsend Feehan, CEO, IAB Europe – Townsend Feehan is CEO of IAB Europe. As well as leading the policy and industry initiatives for IAB Europe, Townsend led the development of IAB Europe’s Transparency & Consent Framework (TCF) bringing together over 50 industry organisations. The TCF’s simple objective is to help all parties in the digital advertising chain ensure that they comply with the EU’s GDPR and ePrivacy Directive when processing personal data or accessing and/or storing information on a user’s device, such as cookies, advertising identifiers, device identifiers and other tracking technologies. Prior to joining IAB Europe, Townsend worked for Microsoft Legal & Corporate Affairs in Brussels and ran EU industry associations in the ICT, consumer electronics and biotechnology sectors. She previously represented Microsoft on IAB Europe’s Board. Townsend has an M. Phil. in European policy from the University of Edinburgh.

Aruna Sharma, Group VP, Lead Counsel Global Privacy & Tech, Data Protection Officer, Xandr – Dr. Aruna Sharma is Group VP, Lead Counsel Global Privacy & Tech at Xandr, the AT&T advertising and analytics company. She is also Xandr’s Data Protection Officer. In her current role, Aruna advises Xandr on global privacy, technology, and information security initiatives, and leads Xandr’s global privacy and data governance program. Aruna spent more than a decade in the legal department of Turner Broadcasting System, where she advised Turner on technology, privacy, and information security legal matters, serving most recently as Assistant General Counsel and Turner’s Lead Privacy Counsel and Data Protection Officer leading Turner’s global privacy program. Before joining Turner in the US she worked for Turner’s Europe Middle East Africa office in London and for Germany’s largest cable television operator, Kabel Deutschland, now Vodafone. Aruna is admitted to practice law in Germany, the UK, and the US.

Stephanie Hanson, Offering Manager, OneTrust – Stephanie Hanson is the Offering Manager of OneTrust PreferenceChoice, part of the #1 most widely used privacy, security and third-party risk technology platform. In her role, Hanson oversees OneTrust PreferenceChoice’s team of Marketing and Privacy Consultants, working with emerging and enterprise companies on best practices to drive engaging user experiences and build trust while demonstrating compliance across 100s of global data privacy regulations, including the CCPA, TCPA, CASL and GDPR. Stephanie has publicly spoken on a variety of privacy, security and marketing topics, providing deep insight into regulatory issues and practical approaches to marketing compliance.

 

 

Achim Schlosser, Chief Technology Officer of the European netID Foundation – Achim is a member of the executive board at the European netID Foundation. As CTO he is responsible for the products (netID) around Single Sign-on and Consent Management / Addressability and drives their strategic development. He is an expert in privacy technology related matters as well as their real life implementation at scale. Achim graduated at RWTH Aachen as a computer scientist, following that he worked a longer timeframe at big European cooperation’s, always focusing on data driven topics with increasing level of leadership. Prior his current role he worked as a senior manager at KPMG where he played a major role in building up the business around data-driven technologies.
