Module 8 – Sustainability in digital advertising; from the direct to the indirect

COP 26 brought the issue of the climate crisis to the centre stage of global conversations. It however became quickly apparent that whilst governments made pledges and promises change would need to come from within individual sectors. The advertising industry saw the birth of Ad Net Zero, but with the internet representing at least 2% of global emissions more needs to be done. With this module, you will gain an understanding of what impacts emissions produced by digital advertising, what can be done, and also the importance of the economic sustainability of the open web and its impact on addressing the climate crisis.
