Following last week’s release of IAB Europe’s summary of our solution approach for the Digital Services Act (DSA), we are thrilled to invite you to an exclusive Virtual Townhall to share further information on the solution approach for supply chain standards designed to assist online platforms in meeting supplementary advertising transparency requirements imposed by the EU's Digital Services Act (DSA). This town hall is specially curated for IAB Europe members and will feature an opportunity for all members to ask questions to the task force behind the solution.
Our taskforce's mission was to create a minimum viable product to facilitate the implementation of ads transparency disclosures. While standardisation isn't mandatory, it streamlines collaboration and alignment among companies, making the process more efficient. We've aimed to ensure our protocol is adaptable to the diverse circumstances in the ecosystem, emphasising flexibility and adaptability. Our protocol also supports platform publishers' control over disclosures to their users while allowing for optional disclosures within the ad creative. This approach maintains flexibility and adherence to legal requirements under the DSA.
The Summary Document is not the full specification. The full specification will be published by IAB Tech Lab, in collaboration with IAB Europe, before this is released, we would like to solicit final feedback from members.
