Burton

Following a happy career in advertising Joanna Burton is now advising, mentoring, speaking and enjoying attending conferences.
Joanna specialised in data-driven advertising, including addressable TV, retail media, identity resolution and data platforms, as well as programmatic video and display advertising.  Most recently she worked as Chief Strategy Officer at ID5, one of the companies she now advises.  At ID5, she helped drive global growth working with publishers, broadcasters and retail media companies around the world to increase programmatic revenues and improve user experience whilst allowing ad tech platforms to operate more efficiently and to maximise the value of data and inventory in a privacy-first way. 
Prior to that she worked as VP European Strategy at SpotX, acquired by the RTL Group, helping publishers and broadcasters to monetise their premium video content across desktop, mobile and connected TV.  
Her broad experience covered a range of companies from Microsoft and AOL to AppNexus, IPG, EW Scripps, Omniture, GroupM, Beeswax and Rubicon Project.
Based in London, Joanna was recognised as ExchangeWire’s Ad Tech Personality of the Year in 2018 and as one of AdMonsters Top Women in Media and AdTech in 2022.

Townsend Feehan is CEO of IAB Europe. Prior to joining IAB Europe, Townsend worked for Microsoft Legal & Corporate Affairs in Brussels and ran EU industry associations in the ICT, consumer electronics and biotechnology sectors. She previously represented Microsoft on IAB Europe’s Board. Townsend has an M. Phil. in European policy from the University of Edinburgh.

Alison Keith has served as Kraft Heinz’s Global Head of Media Excellence since April 2023. She is responsible for driving growth across the company’s many brands through innovative approaches to media strategy, world-class, scalable partnerships and agency leadership, fostering a culture of collaboration, sustainable productivity and creative effectiveness.

Prior to Kraft Heinz, Alison spent 6 years at Coty as Vice President of Global Media, building the global media organization and forging a seamless relationship with local marketing teams. She created strategic value by collaborating with leadership teams across the company to create optimal solutions for driving effective, data-driven media across paid, owned and earned channels, including building an in-house media buying, creative and product development agency with over 150 people globally.

Previously, Alison spent 10 years in media agencies, leading large CPG clients such as P&G, J&J and Brown Forman through strategic transformation journeys. She also started her career in e-commerce, brand marketing, software development and digital creativity. She holds a Bachelor of Management with a focus on Marketing from Royal Holloway - University of London. She lives in Amsterdam with her family and is enjoying learning Dutch.

Bernard Marchant has been the CEO of the Belgian media group ROSSEL since September 2001.
He holds a degree in economics from the Catholic University of Louvain. He began his career as a tax advisor at Arthur Andersen (1984–1985), before moving on to an international career with the Italian IT group Olivetti (1986–1997), where he became Vice President for Europe and Chairman and CEO of Olivetti France.
He continued his international career at the Belgian group Bekaert (1997–2000), serving as a member of the Executive Committee and Managing Director of Bekaert Merchant Products, and then at the French group 9Telecom (2000–2001), where he held the position of Chairman and CEO.
He took over leadership of the Rossel Group in 2001 following the death of Robert Hurbain. Since then, the media group has doubled in size, while maintaining its financial and strategic independence. Today, the group is active not only in French-speaking Belgium, but also in Dutch-speaking Belgium through partnerships with media companies in the north of the country, as well as in France, notably since acquiring control of the Voix du Nord group in 2005.
Bernard Marchant is married and has two daughters.

Chris Hydak is Assistant General Counsel, Privacy and Regulatory Affairs at Microsoft.  
He leads the central privacy and accessibility strategy team, which engages in privacy policy around the world and provides guidance to internal teams across the company. This includes a focus on the advertising landscape and regulatory framework.  
Prior to joining Microsoft in 2018, he worked among others as associate in the law firm Hunton & Williams.

With over 20 years of experience leading teams at global firms like IPG, McCann, and WPP, she has also run D-Central, her own high-end AI consultancy, and led Asia-Pacific for The Hoffman Agency. 

Dominique is a seasoned public speaker on AI, helping companies build AI strategies and upskill executives. She serves as a Non-Executive Director for Synthar AI and is an early advocate and investor in blockchain. As an early adopter and champion of new cutting edge technologies, her passion for innovation, entrepreneurship, and building teams shines through her work across both startups and large enterprises.

David
Cohen

David Cohen joined IAB in April 2020 as President and was named Chief Executive Officer in September 2020. Cohen is a widely respected advertising agency leader who, prior to IAB, served as President, North America for MAGNA, Interpublic Group’s (IPG) centralized media intelligence, investment, and innovation arm. In this role, Cohen was responsible for more than $20 billion in media spend. During his tenure, Cohen structured and executed large global transactions on behalf of IPG and its clients, with such major IAB member companies as Facebook, Google, Microsoft, Spotify, Twitter, and Verizon Media. 93



Prior to MAGNA, Cohen served as Chief Investment Officer of UM, ensuring that digital innovation, data, and technology acumen flowed throughout the agency to drive performance. 26 From 2001 to 2011, Cohen served in critical, transformational roles at UM during the explosive growth of digital advertising, including Chief Media Officer, Chief Digital Officer, and Executive Vice President, U.S. Director of Digital Communications. In the late 1990’s, Cohen was responsible for launching and building IPG’s digital practice.


Cohen has a long history of working with trade organizations including IAB and 4As, where he served as chairman of the Interactive Marketing Committee from 2009-2013. He has also been instrumental in initiating several vital industry-wide programs, including the Future of Television, facilitated by EY. Cohen is a Queens native, with a bachelor’s degree in communications from Adelphi University. He was recognized by Adweek as a “Media All Star” and was part of the “Adweek 50” in 2012.


In 2016, David was elected to the Board of Directors of Partnership with Children a non-profit whose mission is to strengthen the emotional, social, and cognitive skills of vulnerable children in New York City to help them succeed in school, society, and life.


David enjoys spending time with his wife and two teenage daughters. A self-described gadget-geek and sometimes fitness fanatic – he ran the NYC Marathon in 2014 and 2019 and Boston Marathon in 2016.

Daphne 
van Doorn

Daphne van Doorn is Head of EU Affairs at the German Association for the Digital Economy (Bundesverband Digitale Wirtschaft). She has a longstanding track-record of political and public affairs, having represented several organisations and companies ranging from healthcare, food, life sciences and digital industries, whilst having been based in Brussels, Düsseldorf and Berlin. Currently, in her role for the German digital economy, Daphne represents BVDW’s interest at European level, specifically focussing on online consumer protection, Digital Fairness as well as the implementation of the Digital Services Act. In her spare time, she likes to visit concerts, art galleries and meet up with friends. As a Dutch national, bicycle rides are also always recommended.

Daniel
Knapp

Daniel is an advertising, media and data expert with more than 15 years of international experience. As Chief Economist at IAB Europe he provides market analysis and forecasts into all facets of digital advertising and translates between policy and industry domains. He is also co-founder of RE:DEF, a specialist advisory firm at the intersection of digital strategy and implementation with a particular emphasis on forensic ad tech supply chain analysis. Daniel is a board member at the Institute of European Media Law and Senior Fellow at The MediaLab, a Brussels-based think tank on media pluralism. Previously, Daniel was associated expert on media and AI at the European Commission for Vice President Ansip’s Cabinet and co-founded a programmatic advertising agency. He spent 11 years at IHS Markit, latterly as Executive Director in the Telecoms, Media and Technology practice. Before this, he worked in media policy at the State Chancellery in Düsseldorf, Germany. Daniel received his PhD from the London School of Economics (LSE).

Governance Officer, Acxiom
Dr Sachiko Scheuing is Author of How to Use Customer Data and the European Privacy & AI Governance Officer of Acxiom, an IPG-Interpublic Group company, and a global leader in marketing services. She is currently serving her fourth term as the Co-Chairwoman of the trade association Federation of European Data and Marketing (FEDMA), based in Brussels. Besides FEDMA, Sachiko is active in several European and global privacy and marketing associations as well as think tanks. 

She was one of the founding members of the EU DPO association, CEDPO. Sachiko is passionate about empowering women and girls. She is serving as the global co-chair of Acxiom’s gender equity programme, WomenLEAD.
In 2020, Sachiko received the DataIQ Professor Derek Holder Lifetime Achievement Award for her contribution to and leadership in the data industry. In 2024, she was recognised by Women in Data® as one of the twenty most influential women in Data and Tech.

She is tasked with driving IAB Europe's industry engagement and initiatives within Retail Media as well as owning the association’s industry research and insights outputs and roadmap.

Peter Craddock is a lawyer with a software development background, offering a unique blend of legal and technical knowledge. He is sought after by a diverse clientele, ranging from start-ups to established multinational corporations, for guidance on global data strategies and EU data litigation, including appearances before the EU Court of Justice. Based in Brussels, he helps international companies find legal solutions to technical problems and technical solutions to legal problems. Peter is a prominent voice, notably in the adtech and digital advertising space and on ePrivacy evolutions.

Rachel Smith is co-founder and CEO of ExchangeWire, and oversees the company’s global operations. Rachel has more than 12 years experience in the digital media, advertising and marketing industry. 

Prior to this, she spent 10 years in the public sector working with policy advisors and elected politicians at both a local and national level in the UK & Australia. Amongst many other things, this included running media, communications & PR functions for local government authorities in London. Rachel holds a Bachelor of Arts in Politics from the Australian National University, and is on the Board of Trustees for the East London based charity, the Bromely-by-Bow Centre.
