He has served in leadership roles spanning market analysis, strategic advisory, and business intelligence. Daniel spent 11 years at IHS Markit, latterly as Executive Director for Technology, Media and Telecoms. He was also an associated expert on media and AI at the European Commission. Daniel received his PhD from the London School of Economics (LSE) on the sociology of algorithms and the datafication of media. In addition to his role at IAB Europe, he is CSO at Twins Digital, a marketing services company, and partner at Ecuiti, a data science firm.

Alex Hole is Vice President and General Manager of the European Service Business Team at Samsung Electronics.  In his role, he oversees Samsung Ads, the media and advertising division of Samsung Electronics, as well as other TV and Mobile services available on Samsung devices including its exclusive Streaming service Samsung TV Plus.

His responsibilities include establishing new content provider relationships for Samsung TV Plus, developing Samsung products to better enable content discovery for Smart TV owners, and helping advertisers understand how to leverage Samsung’s proprietary data to understand modern streaming audiences.  

Alex was critical in establishing Samsung Ads’ leading position in the European market, and oversaw the launch of the Ads business into Germany, Spain, Italy, and France.

Prior to joining Samsung Ads, Alex was the Director of Amazon’s advertising business in the UK and Spain, and has extensive experience in managing advertising sales for some of the UK’s top publishers, including the Telegraph and News UK.

Michael started his career at the UK's Department for Culture, Media and Sport where he spent time in the Secretary of State’s Private Office before moving on to manage the UK Government’s sector relations with the advertising industry. Michael left DCMS to work for the Advertising Standards Authority in 2009, managing public affairs and policy for the ad regulator, before moving to Google in 2011.

David Cohen joined IAB in April 2020 as President and was named Chief
Executive Officer in September 2020. Cohen is a widely respected advertising
agency leader who, prior to IAB, served as President, North America for
MAGNA, Interpublic Group’s (IPG) centralized media intelligence, investment,
and innovation arm. In this role, Cohen was responsible for more than $20
billion in media spend. During his tenure, Cohen structured and executed large
global transactions on behalf of IPG and its clients, with such major IAB
member companies as Facebook, Google, Microsoft, Spotify, Twitter, and
Verizon Media. 93

Prior to MAGNA, Cohen served as Chief Investment Officer of UM, ensuring that digital innovation, data, and technology acumen flowed throughout the agency to drive performance. 26 From 2001 to 2011, Cohen served in critical, transformational roles at UM during the explosive growth of digital advertising,
including Chief Media Officer, Chief Digital Officer, and Executive Vice President, U.S. Director of Digital Communications. In the late 1990’s, Cohen was responsible for launching and building IPG’s digital practice.


Cohen has a long history of working with trade organizations including IAB and 4As, where he served as chairman of the Interactive Marketing Committee from 2009-2013. He has also been instrumental in initiating several vital industry-wide programs, including the Future of Television, facilitated by EY. Cohen
is a Queens native, with a bachelor’s degree in communications from Adelphi University. He was recognised by Adweek as a “Media All Star” and was part of the “Adweek 50” in 2012.

In 2016, David was elected to the Board of Directors of Partnership with Children a non-profit whose mission is to strengthen the emotional, social, and cognitive skills of vulnerable children in New York City to help them succeed in school, society, and life.

David enjoys spending time with his wife and two teenage daughters. A self-described gadget-geek and sometimes fitness fanatic – he ran the NYC Marathon in 2014 and 2019 and Boston Marathon in 2016.

He participated to the Peaktime spinoff of Vivendi’s creation and to its sale to Telmar US company developing Media-planning and yield solutions for the Media industry.

He created Business Option in 2009 to assist companies with new technologies and devices challenges (mobiles, tablets…); today still active in the coaching of startups. 

A year later, he co-founded Adways aiming at making any video interactive through the promotion of a SaaS platform. The ambition was to reconcile the consumer with advertising by proposing short engaging interactive video ads.

As of today, more than 15 large Sales houses are using this solution to generate their most creative formats. 

In 2018, Adways created a new format: the InVideo, an IAB nonlinear instream format.
This type of ad is displayed contextually on top or around editorial videos without interruption. So especially suited for live shows.

He sold Adways to Weborama Group in January 2022 and left early this year. 

He joined Viznet as a senior advisor to develop smart advertising in the TV arena.

Viznet Is a French Adtech company dedicated to CTV and addressable TV working with key players such as Canal Plus or Free.

Following a degree in Marketing, Andy started his career at Anglia Television, now part of the UK commercial network ITV. He then joined BMRB, now part of Kantar; where responsibilities included the international expansion of the company's single-source consumer TGI survey into Europe and Latin America, an initiative which led to the formation of the KMR Group and his subsequent appointment as CEO in 2001. 

After the acquisition of TNS in 2008 and a number of high-profile acquisitions and strategic partnerships in North America, Latin America and Asia, Andy formed the board of Kantar Media and was named CEO of the combined business, a position he has held from 2013 till 2020 (whilst also being on the Kantar Executive Committee). That business managed Kantar’s global interest in Audience Measurement, Reputation Intelligence, TGI and Advertising Intelligence. He left Kantar after the successful sale of the business to Bain Capital. 

Since leaving Kantar and with over 30 years of research experience, Andy has taken on a number of consulting and advisory roles. Irene Roche Laguna works for the European Commission. She is Deputy Head of Unit dealing with the legal coordination of the Digital Services Act and the Digital Markets Act. Before that, she was deputy Head of Unit of the Implementation of the Telecom Regulatory Framework in Europe. She has also dealt, in a long career in the European institutions, with issues related to E-commerce and Platforms, State Aids, postal services and the coordination of the enforcement of Single Market rules in Europe.

Before joining the European Court of Justice in 2002 and the European Commission in 2004, Irene Roche Laguna worked as an Assistant Professor of European and Constitutional Law at the University of Valencia (Spain). She continues currently her academic occupation as is also Visiting Professor at the College of Europe in Bruges.
