Over 300 executives converged on Brussels to take part in powerful panel debates with some of the industry’s leading practitioners; thought-provoking viewpoints from major players; and exclusive research projects - The AdEx Survey and The MIA Project. We were also delighted that Robert Madelin hosted a roundtable on e-privacy and behavioural advertising.  

Running alongside the Congress was the IAB Global Summit, an IIA Global Brand Think Tank, a Research Showcase on Social Media, an ICOM session and many useful and practical Industry workshops. It was amazing that we managed to fit it all in!

We were provided with powerful opinions from some Keynote speakers representing major players of the industry: Google, Orange, LBi and Microsoft Europe.  

Simon Waldman, Director of Digital at The Guardian chaired the Panel Discussion ‘Making Integration Win’ which included executives from Platform A, Alcatel-Lucent, Weborama and Publicitas Europe.   

Guy Phillipson, CEO of IAB UK chaired the panel on ‘Spending Shifts’, with participants from L’Oreal, Group M, Yahoo! Nugg.ad and Nielsen Online.

Michael Nutley, Editor-in-Chief of New Media Age, chaired the panel ‘Long Tail, Short Tail: Making content pay’. Panelists representing the entire spectrum of the industry included Banner, Netlog, Nokia, AdLINK, Axel Springer and Truvo.

Thomas Duhr Executive Sales Manager – United Internet Media led the Panel Discussion on ‘Winning business in emerging markets’. Panellists include: Hi-Media, comScore Europe, Goldbach Media Group and Gemius
