Officers/Executive Committee :
Chairman - Guy Phillipson, CEO, IAB UK
Vice-Chairman - Thomas Duhr, Executive Sales Manager, United Internet Media
Treasurer - Aude Guérin, General Secretary, IAB France
For IAB UK - Guy Phillipson, CEO
I became actively involved in the restructure and relaunch of IAB Europe because I wanted it to have a strong constitution and become an influential body which helps digital thrive - through important regulatory, research and best practice initiatives. The fact that so many countries and major corporate companies have joined to take part and fund IAB Europe is testament to the progress Alain and the team have made. I'm proud to have chaired the IAB Europe Board through this process and I hope to be re-elected to continue growing the Bureau into a major operation within the IAB global community.
For United Internet Media - Thomas Duhr - Executive Sales Manager and Member of Sales Management
Interest in engagement: fulfil the job started 2,5 years ago. Strengthen the European industry by creating the accepted European industries voice, structuring the organisation, focusing the industry's association as the representative of a real European born and based player in the digital market. Goals in engagement: strengthen the digital economy in times of economic crisis in the intermedia and regulatory battle upcoming by focusing on standards and definitions.
For IAB France - Aude Guérin, General Manager
Treasurer of IAB Europe since October 2008, and in charge of the management of IAB France since the end of 2006, it seems to me very important to be present and involved in the development of IAB Europe and the works led by this organization. I am convinced by the benefits of sharing our ideas and experiences : only this can help each one of us in the development of our individual markets. That’s why I propose my candidacy for the next IAB Europe Board elections, as a Tier 2 member.
Board members:
For IAB Spain - Antonio Traugott, General Manager.
My compromise with the IAB Europe’s Board for developing the digital industry is as follows: always thinking, always creating, always pushing, breaking rules, never resigning, always looking for the next step, always fighting for our dignity, our standards, our creativity, our investment, our measurement...in conclusion, defending our role as the main character in the future of advertising.
For OVK - Björn Kaspring, General Manager
The OVK (Online-Vermarkterkreis or Circle of Online Marketers) is the central body of online marketers in Germany. My motivation for the candidature : building a powerful bridge to the German online market and the important companies in the market supporting the aim to speak with one voice for the European online advertising market bundling the power in the IAB Europe to raise the profile of online advertising in Europe working on authentic figures for the entire European online advertising market increasing market transparency and planning reliability by the use of standards and consistent terminologies
For FDIM - Jon Lund, Director
I’m representing a small country. Denmark has a 5,5 mio population. But as a Dane, my experiences, my culture, my language and my market experience resembles those of the other Scandinavian countries to a high degree. In this way, I’m speaking not only on behalf of Denmark. In my voice you’ll also hear the Sweedish, Norwegian and Finnish interests echoed. I’m also representing a very advanced internet market. 4 mio danes surf the web at least once every month. Nearly all on broadband connections. A market in which the internet accounts for 21 percent of total advertising spend – leaving all other mediagroups (including print and TV) behind. A market in which both display, search and classifieds are well elaborated and mature segments. A market in which webtv and mobile are taking off. A market in which standards and measurements are integrated and widely accepted. A market with experiences which I as board member of IAB Europe will help articulate to the good of all.
For IAB Belgium - Patrick Marck, General Manager
Within the IAB Europe Board, we've started up some projects the past months that I would like to continue to work on to get them finalized. I would like further to concentrate my efforts on European projects that can be used by every national IAB, such as a certified education program, European benchmarks and research studies and our information exchange sessions on membership services, recruitment and management.
For IAB Greece - Constantine Kamaras, Board member
Constantine is a founding member of IAB Europe and has served as its Vice-Chairman from 2003 to 2008. A co-founder of IAB Greece in 2001, he continues to serve on its Board as one of its publisher members, given his capacity of publisher of Sport.gr, a leading network of sports sites in Greece. In his tenure as IAB Europe Board member, Constantine continues to focus principally on the area of 'best practice' as experience shows that there is great value to be delivered when national IABs share information, compare experiences and discuss successful models in a variety of areas such as research, training and member services.
For IAB Italy - Layla Pavone, President and Board member

We believe that with the new perspective and CEE cultural background Jarek is a right person to create a bridge to the "New Europeans". He could also be the first representative of CEE country in IAB Europe board. That could be also regarded as a sign of acceptance for new countries in European family in our IAB Europe network.

As Managing Director of comScore's European business operations for internet and mobile research products I believe that I have a background which will help guide and advise IAB Europe and be able to offer a broad perspective on the internet landscape in Europe. comScore now reports on internet activity in 17 countries in Europe and plans yet further expansion in the coming months/years. - comScore is committed to the development of online advertising in Europe and hopes that by its involvement with IAB Europe it can contribute to some key IAB Europe working groups. For Google - Simon Hampton, Director of European Public Policy & Government Affairs
As a member of the Management Group of Google's North and Central European business division I am exceptionally well placed to understand market developments. But as IAB Europe scales up its lobbying function, I strongly believe that my 15 years of lobbying experience (including with AOL and with Time Warner, and as the leader of four different industry association working groups) would be a valuable addition to the Board's work to develop a strategy to defend the long term interests of the industry.

I would like to continue contributing to the IAB Europe for a number of personal and professional reasons. After my first attempt as Co-Chair International Relations for the IAB US to bring the IAB to Europe over then years ago, I am very happy that IAB Europe has evolved into such a professional and independent organisation. I am now responsible for the expansion of our online advertising network into over ten markets and seeing the dynamism of the Easter European online advertising markets I would like to support the expansion and further build up of IABs in this region. I am absolutely convinced that a strong IAB is key to the rapid development of the online advertising business across all European markets and as a Pan-European company we want to play a role in supporting this development.
